AquaMed Farm's story began back in 2008 when our founder and CEO, Malcolm Twyman, realized that his passion for aquaponic horticulture allowed him to grow fully organic, high-quality plants successfully. Malcolm's accomplishments were, in fact, early advocates for sustainable year-round tomato plant growth. After years of service in the U.S. Navy, Malcolm was honorably discharged in 2015. Unfortunately, like many other veterans, he faced the challenges of living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He soon realized that horticulture had a therapeutic effect on him and the more he learned and practiced, the more he began to understand the healing powers of Mother Nature. Hemp has long been valued in different cultures as a versatile plant that can feed us, clothe us and support human health while protecting the environment.
