Give a Dog a Bone is a family-owned business located in Evansville, Indiana. The store is a labor of love, dedicated to Quiggley, the Aldrich family's boxer, who passed away not long before the store was opened in February 2005. Quiggley was diagnosed at five years old with mast cell cancer, and given one year to live. Robin and Mike Aldrich, not willing to give up on their boxer boy, decided to research alternative therapies for the treatment of cancer, including natural foods and supplements. Putting their findings into action, Quiggley, the cancer dog, lived and loved for six more wonderful years, dying finally at age 11, surrounded by the family who loved him. It was through this experience Give a Dog a Bone was born!
