It was clear Rebecca and Susumu excelled as a partnership when they joined together in New York City to form a highly successful advertising and editorial photo business that made Susumu a master photographer and earned him top industry awards. Eventually the Northern Catskill Mountains, which reminded them both of their snowy native countries, drew them in and they decided to take their award-winning partnership in a new direction.
