Ballet, Tap, Jazz: Our dance program provides children with a strong foundation in dance movement. It teaches each of the dancers the elements of movement and dance, integrated with the physical concepts and the intellectual concepts of self-awareness, creative expression, imagination, teamwork and basic body/health awareness. Through participation in these classes, students also learn classroom manners. These concepts include learning how to take turns, following another dancer or leading the way, waiting patiently, working together with others, and having a positive attitude. Concepts of movement and sequencing, patterning, the eight basic locomotive movements, a dancer's vocabulary and more.
