Eastern Groove began in 2008 as Elgin's central source for belly dance classes, workshops, and performances. In just a few short years it has become a space for world dance and wellness movement ready to meet the needs of a clientele that wants to MOVE. We offer a complete program of weekly classes in Egyptian and Tribal Fusion style belly dance for beginners through performers. Supplemental classes for belly dance include Yoga for Belly Dance and Technique and Drills. In addition to belly dance, Eastern Groove offers classes in Zumba for a fun and effective dance workout and Mindful Yoga to center oneself and find the connection between body, mind, and spirit.
