Performing arts dance company for Tallahassee's youth,With her husband, Comissioner Nick Maddox, Mrs. Maddox discovered that a gap existed in the programs that are being offered to Tallahassee's youth. To fill that gap, Mrs. Maddox wanted to combine her passion for dance and young people and create a performing arts program that will cultivate the creative expression of today's youth. Thusly, the Maddox Youth Dance Company was formed. As dance nurtures the mind, body and soul, MyDC will be an environment where students can safely and freely express their creativity, and increase their understanding of and appreciation for dance as a vital art form.
