"Movies are the memories of our lifetime. We need to keep them alive." - Martin Scorcese Movie Memories is a nonprofit organization committed to keeping the art of the classic film alive. Movie Memories honors the actors and directors of Hollywood's Golden Era by presenting retrospectives of their work throughout the country. Often these retrospectives will include a relative of the person being honored as host, a panel discussion with experts and/or colleagues, and a memorabilia display. Additionally, we offer programs that use classic film as a teaching tool to middle schools and high schools in a variety of subjects, including both World and American History, English, languages, Social Studies, Drama, and Speech, complete with a study guide for the teachers and a list of questions for the students. Films such as "Casablanca," "Gone with the Wind," "Twelve Angry Men," "A Tale of Two Cities," and "Marie Antoinette," will be offered, plus films in Spanish and French.
