Hayashi-Ha Shitoryu-Kai is a prominant style of Shito-ryu karate developed and founded by Teruo Hayashi in Osaka, Japan in 1970. Soke ("grandmaster") Hayashi led the organization until his death in late 2004. Since his passing the world headquarters remains in Osaka, and the USA headquarters is led by Shihan Akio Minakami at the Minakami Dojo in Seattle, WA. Shito-ryu is a style of Karatedo founded by Kenwa Mabuni, an Okinawan police officer, and martial arts master. Shito-ryu is a combination style, which attempts to unite the diverse roots of karate. Here at the Denver Shaolin Kung Fu Tai Chi Institute, we pride ourselves on teaching the best in traditional and contemporary Chinese Martial Arts (CMA). All of our instructors have trained in China, Korea, and across the US. We bring their wealth of knowledge and experience to the Denver Metro area. We teach traditional Shaolin (Shaolinquan), Tai Chi (Taijiquan), and Wushu (Changquan).

We offer a wide variety of Taekwondo classes for children, families, and adults. depending on age, skill, and desires. We start with our Little Tigers Class, a special class for preschoolers that teaches balance, coordination, safety, and many other skills through basic martial arts movements. Most students will enter our beginner's classes, where they will learn martial arts basics and gain the fundamental skills and conditioning needed to be successful in our other classes. We also have a special Lady Tigers program for moms and women who can train while their children play together. Our adult / family classes offer many different students the opportunity to practice together at the same time.
