Established in 1937,The Silver bros., Fred and Archie, opened a storefront re-silvering mirrors and repairing silver products. By 1945 they started producing convex glass mirrors. In 1950 Archie sold his shares to Fred, and the company named changed to Fred Silver & Co. With our founder at the helm, the company grew to offer various types of silvered glass products including, home décor, beauty, safety, optical and aerospace industries. Fred Silver & co., however became most famous for our introduction of acrylic lenses. In 1992, we acquired Ketcham Company, makers of medicine cabinets and bathroom products. With Ketcham, Fred Silver & co has seen dramatic expansion, taking us from New Jersey to our state of the art facility in Mt. Vernon OH and our new sales office in Ronkonkoma NY.
