In 1961 Charles and Jackie Rowe opened La Mesa Pet Hotel located at 8126 Center St. La Mesa, California. Both Charles and Jackie are American Kennel Club Judges and also International Dog Show Judges. Also in 1961 Charles was hired by the El Cajon Police Department to train the first attack dogs used in San Diego County and El Cajon was the first city to use Charles as their attack dog trainer. In 2002 Charles became a retired PHA handler. They are both members of Del Sur Kennel Club, Cabrillo Kennel Club, Cocker Spaniel Club of San Diego, American Spaniel Club, National Federation of Independent Business, National Write Your Congressman, American Boarding Kennel Association, Better Business Bureau Accredited Business.
