In 2014, over 2,100 cats and dogs found forever homes through the work of One of A Kind Pet Rescue. In the same year, One of A Kind Pet Rescue Spay & Neuter Clinic celebrated its 60,000th procedure since its beginning in 2007. As the largest no-kill, no-time-limit animal shelter facility in Summit County, we are proud of the work we have accomplished, but there is so much more to do. Founded in 2005, the mission of One of A Kind Pet Rescue is to save the lives of animals in imminent danger of euthanasia and enrich the lives of people through rescue, spaying/neutering, adoption, and advocacy on behalf of homeless pets. Donations to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization are used to provide food, medical care and shelter for our rescued animals.
