Our philosophy is to create spaces that are not only visually beautiful, but ecologically sound, and that do the right thing for our clients. Although we appreciate the aesthetic value of lawns and all that a beautifully maintained lawn can provide, we tend to discourage their use in our landscapes. We liket to eliminate the need for lawn care and lawn maintenance and mostly rely on plantings that are drought tolerant. We do not use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides, instead, we rely on sheet mulching and compost to enrich the soil and build healthy ecosystems. California native plants are used in our designs when appropriate, and we use sustainably harvested materials for construction projects such as decks, patios, water features, and walls.
