Karan Josan, MD Karan Josan, MD, is a hematologist-oncologist at NYCBS. He obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in India from Maharaja Agrasen Medical College. Dr. Josan completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center. Then he completed a Sickle Cell Fellowship at SUNY Kings County Hospital Center. Dr. Josan served as a fourth-year Chief Resident before completing his fellowship training in hematology-oncology.

Dr. Eagle is a board-certified hematologist-oncologist with more than 20 years of experience, previously practicing in Lake Norman, North Carolina. He is a past president of the Community Oncology Alliance and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He graduated from the University of Virginia, School of Medicine. Then completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Eagle has a particular interest in healthcare policy to ensure patients have the best options available and benefit from scientific advances. He has published multiple oncology health policy and cost of care articles. He has previously served as an editorial board member for the journal Oncology.

Dr. Samir Patel Medical Oncology & Hematology Dr. Samir Patel is a Board Certified physician in hematology and medical oncology and has a special interest in Leukemia, Lymphomas, and Benign Hematology and Bleeding Disorders. After completing his Bachelor of Science in chemistry and honors biology at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign he continued to The Chicago Medical School where he received is M.D. as well as, his M.S. in applied physiology. Dr. Patel's post-graduate training began at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis with his Residency and Internship then followed his fellowship at New York Medical College where he was Chief Fellow of his class.

Dr. Shahid Nawaz Medical Oncology & Hematology Dr. Nawaz is a medical hematologist and oncologist. Dr. Nawaz is an attending physician with New York Cancer Specialists since 2004. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar Pakistan. He completed his residency in Medicine and fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Nawaz is affiliated with Brookhaven Memorial Hospital, JT Mather Memorial Hospital, St. Charles Hospital, and St. Catherine of Sienna Medical Center. Dr. Nawaz is on staff and holds a teaching position as a clinical instructor at Stony Brook University Medical Hospital.

Dr. Gurmohan Syali, MD Dr. Gurmohan Syali is a Board Certified physician in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology who specializes in all adult malignancies with special interest in treatments of breast, lung, prostate and gastrointestinal cancers. Dr. Syali received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from University of California, San Diego, and his medical degree from Ross University. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Dr. Syali received a fellowship in hematology and oncology, as well as a clinical trial research fellowship at Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

Paul Youn, MD is a board certified radiation oncologist. He specializes in treatment of cancers in prostate, breast, lung, head and neck, gastrointestinal (GI) system, gynecological (GYN) system, skin, and lymphoma. He is experienced with multiple radiotherapy techniques, including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and prostate and gynecologic brachytherapy. He completed undergraduate studies at Cornell University, graduating cum laude with B.S. in Biological and Environmental Engineering. He earned his medical degree with distinction in research at University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
