Dr. Ozaktay, Senior Pain Care Specialist, joined Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants in July 2008. He attended medical school at University of Istanbul, Cerrahpasa Medical School. Dr. Ozaktay received his degree in anesthesiology at Wayne State University, Detroit Medical School in Michigan and completed a fellowship in pain management at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He specializes in implantable pain pumps and spinal stimulation. Dr. Ozaktay was named Pain Awareness Ambassador this year. He has been honored by the Tuck School of Business Administration for the "Medical Care and The Corporation Course" and for being a lecturer at the Dartmouth Medical School Pain Management Education Day for his course on "Low Back Pain, Translational Research, Animals to Humans or vice versa." Dr. Ozaktay is a member of numerous organizations including the American Pain Society, American Academy of Pain Medicine and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

Dr. Robert Levy earned his medical degree at Stanford University, where he also received his Ph.D. in neurosciences and completed a postdoctoral fellowship. He performed a second postdoctoral research fellowship and his residency in neurological surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, where his mentors included Dr. Howard Fields, Dr. Charles Wilson, and Dr. Yoshio Hosobuchi. He then moved to Northwestern University where he rose to the level of Tenured Professor of Neurological Surgery, Physiology, and Radiation Oncology at the Feinberg School of Medicine. During this period, he served as Acting Chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery. He was then recruited to serve as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery and Co-Director of the UF Health Jacksonville Neuroscience Institute at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, FL.

Joseph J. Alshon, DO, FAAPM&R, FAOCRM, DABPM joined Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants (APCC) in October of 2015 as an interventional pain management physiatrist. He has been providing pain management and rehabilitative services in Palm Beach County for more than 25 years. In his work with patients, Dr. Alshon diligently seeks to treat the cause of pain as well as provide effective symptom management. He applies his rehabilitation, osteopathic and functional medicine training to provide a holistic approach to pain management, healing and wellness; assessing numerous aspects of the body to offer the most beneficial protocols to control pain, improve quality of life and optimize function. Dr. Alshon brings significant experience to his new position at APCC. He was the medical director for Pinecrest's Multidisciplinary Pain Management Program for more than 10 years. He also managed several multidisciplinary outpatient pain management doctors' offices and was the medical director of a pain

Dr. Vilasuso, a fellowship-trained interventional pain medicine physician, joined Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants (APCC) in August 2015. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine. He attended the University of South Florida where he completed his fellowship training in pain management and residency in anesthesiology. Prior to joining APCC, Dr. Vilasuso established his own medical practice called Miami Pain Specialists, where he treated chronic pain patients with a variety of interventional procedures. He was also with Doctors Hospital at Baptist Health South Florida in Coral Gables overseeing all of the hospital's pain consults. Dr. Vilasuso has extensive training and experience treating both benign and malignant pain syndromes, which comes from his time at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. His special training includes the Vertos Medical mild procedure.
