Dr. Nelson grew up in Reno, NV and was an active golfer and basketball player. She received her BA from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore where she was awarded Phi Beta Kappa and played on the basketball team. She was accepted to Baylor College of Medicine Medical Scientist Training Program where she completed both her M.D. and her Ph.D. Dr. Nelson was fortunate to complete her dermatology residency at the University of California, San Diego. She has worked in two private practices in San Diego seeing both pediatric and adult patients. Her expertise spans from medical dermatology to cosmetic procedures. Dr. Nelson recently located to the Denver area to be closer to family and start her own dermatology practice.
