The Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center is a complete plastic surgical facility inspired by Dr. Gahhos and designed by a prominent Florida architect. This elegant building houses the private practice of Dr. Gahhos, a Skin Cancer Clinic, as well a State Licensed, "Joint Commission" accredited and Federally Certified ambulatory surgery center (ASC). The complex was built in 1989 with patient safety and architectural beauty in mind. A tropical palette of lush native Floridian landscape surrounds the elegant Old Florida-Key West style buildings. All the elements of the design come together in the waiting room where floor-to-ceiling windows frame a quintessential Florida scene of coral and teal, a grand piano, Viennese chandelier and green foliage. This large room, with a relaxed ambiance, easily converts into a lecture hall, which can hold up to fifty guests. French doors open into the medical office which, along with the consultation rooms, is casual but still elegant. This part of the office combines a fresh interpretation of the lobby with soothing colors, high tech computers and medical equipment. The buildings have received several architectural and city beautification awards. A separate area of this attractive building houses the Ambulatory Surgery Center that contains two operating rooms, a minor procedure room, a pre-op holding area and four recovery room beds. The surgery center was designed with patient comfort, safety and privacy in mind. The back door that opens to the side street along with the wall enclosing the center was designed for the discrete departure of patients who value their privacy. In the two operating rooms state-of art monitoring equipment, anesthesia monitors, electrocautery units, lasers and fat aspirators surround the surgical tables. A wide variety of music from Mozart to Irish Folk is available per patient's request during the surgical procedure.
