Dr. McEntire attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in Little Rock, Arkansas. He completed his residency in general surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center, U.S. Army, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He then completed his fellowship in vascular surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. His certifications include the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Vascular Surgery. Dr. McEntire is passionate about learning and challenges himself to learn something new every day. He continuously studies vascular surgery and works on perfecting his surgical skills to provide the best care for his patients. Dr. McEntire is retired from the U.S. Army as Colonel with 24 years of service and was deployed overseas to Afghanistan twice. During his last deployment, he was on the Special Forces Forward Surgical Team. Dr. McEntire also sees patients at Doctors' Memorial Hospital in Perry, FL.

Dr Amundson received her dental degree at University of Illinois. She completed her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Miami.

Cemil Purut, MD, joined TMH Physician Partners - Cardiothoracic Surgery in 2025 with advanced training and extensive experience in complex heart and lung procedures. He earned his medical degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina where he also completed his residency and fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. Purut specializes in minimally invasive and open-heart procedures including coronary artery bypass surgery, heart valve repair and replacement and surgery for thoracic conditions. He is committed to delivering the highest quality care and helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes. TMH Physician Partners - Cardiothoracic Surgery sees patients at the Archbold Specialty Clinic in Thomasville twice a month.

Dr James Parker specializes in minimally invasive approaches for general surgery procedures. He completed his surgical training at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. During his residency, he excelled in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. He completed a fellowship with specialized training in minimally invasive surgery at Saint Luke's Health System in Kansas City. During his fellowship, Dr Parker amassed a large volume of robotic and laparoscopic cases with excellent outcomes. He has completed highly specialized training focusing on a robotic platform and its use for foregut, colon, and abdominal wall procedures.

Erik Scott, MD, brings exceptional training and a personal connection to the Big Bend, joining TMH Physician Partners - Cardiothoracic Surgery in 2025 as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon. He earned both his undergraduate and master's degrees at the University of South Florida then completed medical school at Howard University in Washington, D.C. where he was awarded the American Association of Thoracic Surgeons Summer Internship and completed a congenital heart surgery internship at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Dr. Scott went on to complete his residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Virginia. Dr. Scott specializes in coronary artery revascularization, aortic and mitral valve surgery, atrial fibrillation ablation, aortic surgery and thoracic surgery, caring for patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions. TMH Physician Partners - Cardiothoracic Surgery sees patients at the Archbold Specialty Clinic in Thomasville twice a month.

Dr. Candace E. Gonzalez is a board-certified surgeon trained in General, Bariatric and Breast Surgery caring for patients in Tallahassee, Florida. She has a specialized interest in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, and weight loss surgerical procedures.

Dr. Anthony Wright is a board-certified General and Bariatric surgeon caring for patients in the greater Tallahassee, Florida area. He provides services such as appendectomies and gallbladder removal, and minimally invasive procedures.

Dr. Jeffrey Kirk is a board-certified vascular surgeon in Tallahassee, FL. He specializes in the diagnosis, medical treatment and surgical treatment of vascular diseases using open, endovascular and hybrid surgical techniques. Dr. Kirk most commonly treats aortic aneurysms, carotid artery blockage, leg-oriented peripheral arterial disease and varicose veins. He completed his residency in general surgery at Baptist Health Systems, also in Birmingham, Alabama. He then completed his fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Tennessee at Memphis. His certifications include the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Vascular Surgery. He currently practices at Southern Medical Group, P.A., and holds privileges at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. Dr. Heidepriem is passionate about helping his patients achieve better health outcomes so they can live their lives to the fullest. When he's not seeing patients, he enjoys fishing and spending time at the lake.
