Matthew Mayer graduated from Baylor University in 2005. He was accepted to one of the top programs in the country and graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Dental School in 2009 with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Dr. Mayer completed a 1 year residency in Hospital and Medically Compromised Dentistry in 2010 in association with Hermann Hospital in the Houston Medical Center. Dr. Mayer then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at Houston Graduate Orthodontic Program from 2010 to 2012 to specialize in Orthodontics. Dr. Mayer holds a certificate in Post Graduate Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics from UTHSC at Houston, as well. Honors and Awards Dr. Mayer is an Eagle Scout and has received numerous honors for his humanitarian work in the community. Dr. Mayer feels it is incredibly important to be involved with and give back to his community as much as possible. For this reason he mentors youth of Waco through the Waco Chamber of Commerce LEAD program, Boy Scouts of America, and CASA of McLennan and Hill counties. Dr. Mayer also regularly provides pro-bono dental care at the Body of Christ Community Clinic in Belton and around the state through the Texas Dental Association's Texas Mission of Mercy.
