Dr. Sushko knew that he wanted to become a dentist since his first visit to the dentist when he was three years old. He was born in Pennsylvania, but has lived in the Detroit area since early childhood. He graduated from Warren High School in 1973 as co-salutatorian, from the University of Detroit in 1977 summa cum laude and from the University of Detroit Dental School in 1981 at the top of his class.
