Nelson Henry, DDS, is the owner of West Edgewood Dental located in Jefferson City, Missouri and Vanderveen Dental Center in Columbia, Missouri. He practices general dentistry with an emphasis on IV Sedation, cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Henry has over fifteen years of dental experience and has received many awards such as the Golden Forceps Award in oral surgery, Excellent Award in periodontics and prosthodontics, and awards in dental anesthesiology and hospital dentistry. Dr. Henry attended McGill University in Montreal, Canada and completed his undergraduate degree in metallurgical engineering. He received his doctor of dental surgery from University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry, and continued his studies at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. In addition, he completed a post doctorate at Yale University. As a professional member of the Jefferson City Dental Center, Dr. Henry is able to stay current in his field; also maintaining the position of Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
