Private speech-language pathologist with emphasis on articulation and phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, expressive language, and foreign accent modification. Trained in PROMPT, motor-speech disorders, and Compton P-ESL. Therapy addresses sensory processing needs of the child while working on speech and language. Active play is incorporated and functional language is the goal. Support is given to parents in person and by phone. Parents are encouraged to sit-in on therapy and join in as appropriate. Home activities are provided to support carryover of learning outside of the therapy session. The SLP will attend IEP meetings, if requested--one at no charge per year.
