Dr. Michael Bresnan is a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York. He earned his MA in counseling and his Ph.D. in counseling psychology from New York University. He completed an APA approved internship at the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System, and a post-doctoral fellowship at the Vassar College Counseling Service. He has also trained at the Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York City. In the course of his training and career, Dr. Bresnan has worked with individuals across the lifespan struggling with a wide range of issues. Dr. Bresnan also has a longstanding interest in meditation. In particular, he views the cultivation of mindfulness, or attention to present moment experience, as an important part of learning to live life in a skillful way. In addition
