Margaret Glatfelter, founder and director of The Lalitha® Institute, is a Professor of Yoga on the faculty of Taksha University (TU) School of Integrative Medicine (SIM) and Yoga Trainer on staff at Shiva Yoga Mandarim. She combines her extensive background in practice and formal training with her abilities as a clairvoyant intuitive to personalize yoga, meditation, hypnosis and energy healing for individuals, groups and corporations. To optimize results sought through the authentic traditional practices of Lalitha towards wholeness of body and mind, Margaret practices Vastu, the Vedic science of building. Vastu integrates structures with all of nature, creating a free flow of energy, and bringing peace, health and harmony to all beings. Currently teaching, lecturing, writing, consulting and producing guided meditation CD’s, Margaret received her Advanced Yoga Teaching Certification through His Holiness Sri Swami Satchidananda, founder of Integral Yoga, her teaching certification in Yoga and Ayurveda from Dr. David Frawley and her E-RYT 500 teaching designation through Yoga Alliance. She is also a Vastu Practitioner. Margaret is a Certified Hypnotist through the National Guild of Hypnotists and an NLP Practitioner through the National Federation of Neuro Linguist Programming. She holds credentials as a Pranic Healer, Energy Healer and Gendai Reiki Master Teacher and is a Usui Reiki Master Teacher and Karuna Reiki Master Teacher through the William Lee Rand direct lineage. Margaret attended the La Varenne culinary school under Julia Child and believes food is medicine. In keeping with the Dhanur Vedas, Margaret holds a Black Belt in the martial arts. These interests, in addition to Yoga, contribute to her living and teaching others to live a healthy balanced lifestyle. Margaret is a University of Iowa and Drake University honors alumna. During college, she successfully competed in the Miss America Pageant. After college, Margaret specialized in risk arbitrage as a stockbroker on Wall Street with Ladenburg Thalmann, the second firm to list on the New York Stock Exchange. It was during her career as a stockbroker that her interest in authentic traditional practices began. In 2009, Margaret met Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, Ph.D, spiritual head of the Himalayan Institute and successor to Sri Swami Rama. She is now Panditji’s student and has been welcomed into the tradition of the Himalayan Masters.
