IHCA originally opened for business in 2008 at 714 W 2nd Street in Antioch, CA with two partners Vern Morley and Scott Lawler. Early 2009 one of the partners, Vern who had cancer 10 years previously, came out of remission. Sadly on September 19, 2009 he lost his battle with cancer. With the loss of one of the partners IHCA went into a dormant stage until 2010 when two new partners, Beed Lawler and Julie Byrne came along with a vision and wanted to breathe new life back into the center. The new partners had the same philosophy that IHCA was based on, Healing the Body, Mind and Spirit .
