Marble Works, Inc was founded in 2003 by Toby Tyler in his hometown of Carlisle, IA, a suburb of Des Moines, IA. Toby started in the home improvement industry in 1992 working as a finish carpenter and remodeling contractor. During this time he began fabricating custom countertops. Cultured marble was a product that he would buy from various vendors to put into many of his projects. Toby was unsatisfied with his vendor options in terms of quality, product offering, customization and lead times and knew there needed to be a better option in the market place. This vision of a higher quality, full service product offering eventually gave birth to Marble Works, Inc.
