St. Francis was incorporated in 1946 as a family-run business. Over the years it has grown significantly and changed its work to predominately underground, trenching, excavation, and utilities. It also has a division that specializes in all types of vehicle detection such as traffic loops and wireless detectors. As a result of its loop operations, this division has expanded to include sawcutting and core-drilling.
