BlackWater Paving was founded by David Dunn and Matthew Lewis in 2020. With years of experience in the asphalt industry, we decided to start a company that focuses on bringing quality asphalt construction to its customers. David Dunn started his career in asphalt in 2009 with a large local asphalt company as a laborer. Year after year he continued his hard work to perfect his abilities. By the age of 25 he was the one of the youngest foremen in the Southeast for a mainline paving crew. He has paved everything from driveways, parking lots, roadways, and interstates. Matthew Lewis began his career in asphalt in 2009 as a laborer with a large local asphalt company. After spending time in the field he transitioned into estimating, project management, and contracting. For the last 12 years he has has been furthering his career by overseeing crews and projects that perform all types of roadway work.
