MFG Texas manufactures high quality, fiberglass or FRP (fiber reinforced plastics) for a wide variety of industries.
Manufacturing Processes
MFG utilizes multiple Closed Molding and Open Molding manufacturing processes; Vacuum Infusion (VIP), Open Molding (Hand Lay Up), Chop Spray, Light Resin Transfer Molding (LRTM), Liquid Compression Molding (LCM), and also value-added processes such as sub-assembly. Depending on your part design and requirements, we will help choose what process will be most suitable for your application.
CNC Machining - Equipment
One (1) - 3 axis CNC machine for flat sheet work.
One (1) - 5 axis CNC Machine for in-house tooling capabilities.
One (1) - 7 axis robot for trim, drill, and cut.
MFG Texas utilizes three hydraulic presses for compression molding.
One (1) - 150 ton hydraulic press
Two (2) - 165 ton hydraulic presses
In-House Engineering Support
MFG offers various levels of design engineering support as a value-added service with on-site, full-time engineering staff and research team devoted to the development of composite products. For new product designs or design revision/updates, MFG can provide detailed design analysis and propose design recommendations that can improve manufacturability to help lower cost.
Unlike many composite molders, our design engineering group is staffed with engineers that are an integrated and fully focused part of the MFG organization – not third party service providers. This resource is available for the duration of your project and ideally for your follow-on projects as well.
Quality Management System (QMS)
Our extensive history in the automotive and wind energy industries has proven our commitment to an in-depth QMS program. We are currently qualified for ISO 9001, and are working toward other certifications. Our testing programs are unmatched. We will simply not ship a product that does not meet standard requirements.
