Over the last few years, Snow Cloud Services created a wireless backbone from the valley to downtown Juneau to provide back up and off-site storage services to existing clients. We saw a need for people living aboard boats in the harbors to get easy internet access. Current providers were either not providing service or didn’t have the capability. We realized we could use our existing infrastructure to provide those people with internet access. The Snow Cloud was born. As we brought more and more users on to the system we realized we didn’t have to stop with just the harbors, we could reach houses and businesses in the downtown and Douglas areas. Our network grew from there and is still growing.
