I started this venture out of love and concern for my son. He is Autistic and has ADHD and had a severe skin condition that had his skin feeling leathery and it would crack and bleed. The doctor said to put a special lotion on him and it turned out to be like Petroleum Jelly. I was using latex gloves to put it on him and I got to thinking... If I don't like it on me, why am I putting it on him? I started researching alternatives and found out handmade soap made from oils was the best for my son. After starting to use handmade soap his skin started becoming softer and smooth and was not cracking anymore. We knew then that we had found a solution to his skin problems, but the soap I was buying for him was costing me $8 to $10 per bar. So I learned to make it myself.
