At any given time, there are approximately 150 kids in the foster care system in Pinellas County who are ready to be adopted but without families to adopt them. Our goal is to someday have ""No waiting children"", for we believe that there are no unwanted children, just unfound families. Every child deserves the chance to be safe, loved, and cared for-forever. The mission of the Heart Gallery to provide an emotionally safe way to promote adoption and find permanent families for local children who would otherwise languish in the foster care system. We focus on the ""hard to place"" children - older children, many of whom have been in foster care for their entire lives; sibling groups; and special needs children.
