I counsel from a Person-Centered point of view, which means that I value the relationship between myself as the counselor and the client to help provide a safe and warm environment for the client to feel comfortable being vulnerable. I also believe that we are created us a relational beings, so it's fitting that how we form our view of others and ourselves is through the context of relationships. Along with this, I enjoy working with families from a systemic perspective to better understand family dynamics and how that has impacted each person. I am passionate about seeing lives transformed and my clients' goals obtained. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. I have provided individual and family counseling to adolescents with behavioral issues and their families, to victims of domestic violence, and have worked with elementary age children. My areas of study include individual, marriage and couples and family counseling, and I have had additional training in play therapy, attachment theory, and Prepare and Enrich premarital/marital counseling. I offer a sliding scale to make counseling more accessible to people.
