I use an eclectic approach as I tailor treatment for each person and situation. I have a lot if experience with mental illness and trauma issues and I have been trained on a technique (EMDR) which helps people to be able to reduce or eliminate knee-jerk responses to conflict, helping them to achieve self control and better relationships. I also work using art/activity based therapy and group therapy which are effective methods to work with teenagers. I speak English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently. I also work with family therapy if the focus of the work is the relationship between the teenager and the parents.
