I have a strong interest in the latest neuroscience as well as the ancient healing arts such as religious traditions and texts, myths and sacred stories, dreams, art, yoga and meditation. My path towards a greater sense of authenticity and meaning has been challenging. I wish it weren’t so and for many years looked for an easier way. But the rewards have also been great; they are the contentment and peace that comes from a life well-lived, a life in harmony and in balance (to be more accurate, more in harmony and more in balance) as none of us has ever completely arrived — we are all in process. My work as a psychotherapist is to help folks claim for themselves a felt sense of being worthy of love. I’m not just talking about a cognitive understanding that we are worthy but a knowing at the deepest center of ourselves, a knowing in every cell of our body.
