PURPOSE . . . H.A.L.L.O. was founded out of the need for people with disabilities to be able to associate with others who are physically disabled living in the community, so they can recognize that they are not alone with their difficulties. This association provides additional opportunities to each member to utilize resources available for people with disabilities. ORGANIZED TO . . . • share mutual experiences and problems in a friendly, neutral, peer environment, enabling the disabled person if they need it and give help if they can provide it • to introduce new friendships • to create feelings of self-worth and accomplishment • to provide social contact between disabled individuals regardless of their disability • to plan and conduct social programs and fundraising activities
