The Frostig Center (www.frostig.org) was founded in 1951 by Dr. Marianne Frostig, a pioneer in the study, diagnosis and treatment of learning disabilities. Under her leadership, The Frostig Center opened a school for children with learning disabilities. Today Frostig School enrolls 95 boys and girls in grades 2-12. Frostig shares its expertise through its Consultation & Education Department, which trains approximately 800 public, private and parochial school teachers each year in the best instructional strategies for struggling students. Research focuses on studying the impact of specific instructional strategies on student achievement at Frostig School. Learning disabilities are neurological disorders that influence one's ability to speak, read, write, reason, process math problems and
