One of the largest programs in the 15-county Region VI ESC area, BALC offers group, & individual instruction in basic literacy skills, Adult Basic Education and GED preparation for all Brazos Valley adults over the age of 17 who are working toward a high school equivalency certificate. Classes in English as a Second language are also offered. Morning, afternoon and evening ESL and GED classes are offered and registration is required. Classes meet throughout the year at the BALC campus, 1700 Palasota Drive in Bryan.
