Established in 1968 by Maurie Clark in Portland Oregon, the Clark Foundation continues to be directed by members of the Clark family and other civic or charitable minded individuals intent on supporting the community at large. The majority of the Foundation's grants are awarded in the areas of social services, education and health and human services with a smaller percentage available for cultural and religious organizations. The Foundation typically awards grants for specific projects over general operating requests.
