Mount Hope Academy opened its doors in the fall of 1998. In the beginning only a preschool was offered. We now offer a firm, Christian education for grades PreK3, PreK4, kindgarten, and first grade. We also have a before/after program and a summer program. We use the ABEKA curriculum, a Christ-centered, academically challenging program. Large as well as small motor skills are developed through manipulatives, hands-on learning games and outdoor classroom activities. The curriculum ministers to the whole child; socially, spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and phsically, and follows Virginia Standards of Learning. The PALs Assessment is administered to grades PreK4-first grade twice a year.
