For years now, the concept of online learning has existed at the collegiate level; however, few effective examples of the Web-based model can be found among primary and secondary level schools with the exception of the Achievement House Cyber Charter School, based in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Originally chartered as a high school in 2004, the Achievement House Cyber Charter School has since grown to include grades seven and eight, with plans to add kindergarten through sixth grade in the coming years. The Achievement House Cyber Charter School features mostly online curriculum taught by remotely connected, cyber-savvy teachers; however, the school does operate several physical buildings used for administrative purposes, live orientations, and pupil services.
