FPSIE is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit technical center where courses are taught to raise the knowledge level and professionalism of members of the swimming pool and spa industry. Courses developed by the National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF) and the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (APSP) are offered, as well as a wide variety of manufacturer's seminars and a number of FPSIE-developed specialty courses.

At Universal Technical Institute's (UTI) Sacramento campus, we offer core programs of study that include Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology and Collision Repair & Refinish Technology, plus manufacturer-specific training programs featuring Ford, International Trucks and Toyota. Students learn on industry specific equipment using curriculum developed alongside leading manufacturers. This all happens on a modern campus near hiking and biking trails, the American River, and Golden 1 Center, home of the Sacramento Kings. UTI-Sacramento awards Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) degrees to Automotive Technology II and Automotive/Diesel Technology II graduates.
