“Silhouettes by Blane” has provided tens of thousands of people, (mostly in Central Virginia, but also nationally and internationally), with detailed silhouette portrait renderings by drawing free-hand with an exacto knife – whether in person or via profile photos. Blane first began her silhouette business in 1987, operating in the child care industry where she also practiced her mobile art education firm for after-school children – both under the parent company known as “Art a la Carte, LLC”, since 1987.
