Dot Pecina established the Carriage House Art Studio and Gallery in 1998, which is housed in a charming cottage in the farmland of Boulder County not far from downtown Longmont, Colorado. Oil painting classes and instruction are offered to students 18 years and older, whether they are a beginner or are of intermediate abilities. All classes offer oil painting instruction in a delightful studio and non-pressure invironment. Dot's goal is to create enthusiasm and expose students to the fun of working with oils. Students will learn how to mix colors, learn how to use a color wheel, how to plan and arrange a painting. You will also learn various techniques to apply color to create glowing paintings.
