Mel's Tutoring provides a tutoring service that includes math, algebra, geometry, English, reading, writing, punctuation, spelling and term papers along with essays. I offer a free evaluation for first time customers. I charge from $12-14 per half an hour. I charge $22-27 per hour. Also, I am willing to work with you on a payment plan because Mel's Tutoring offers interesting, understandable, attainable, and enjoyable subjects that we will be working on. Putting the joy back into learning,so you can come within reach of your goals. That would be a passing grade. I have had many students that after 2-4 tutoring sessions, their grades went from an F to an A. Having my teaching credential gives me the experience needed to know how to use certain techniques and strategies to help the student reach their goals. I help my students with their homework, preparing for tests, memorization techniques. Also, I have had experience with children that have learning disabilities (for example) dyslexia, ADHD. I prepare my clients for taking the tests-GED,CBEST,SAT,ACT,GRE,CAHSEE. I offer one on one and group settings. I really enjoy when I see the light go on when the client is understanding the problems we are working on. I am good with people, patient, kind, knowledgable,compassionate, and I have a great sense of humor. This makes our tutoring sessions enjoyable and fun. It is necessary to enjoy what your doing.
