Union Colony Children's Music Academy was founded in 1989, and now offers music classes for children from birth to 12+ years in the Northern Colorado area, including Greeley and Fort Lupton. As a non-profit organization, UCCMA is dedicated to providing music and movement education for all children. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for all children, age birth to 12+ years, and their families, to experience the benefits and joys of music and movement. Classes Offered: Early Beginnings (birth to 16 months) Beginning Music (15 months to 3.5 years) Family Music (Birth to 4 years) Exploring Music and Movement 1 and 2 (3 to 6 years) Making Music 1 and 2 (4 to 7 years) Piano/Keyboard (6 to 9 years) Guitar (8 to 12 years) Strings/Violin (8 to 12 years) Special Needs Piano (7 years +) Special Needs Family Music (birth to 6) Special Needs Creative Movement (6 to 12+ years) Special Needs Creating Music (6 to 10 years) Special Needs Community Orchestra (Youth and Young Adult) Activities for all classes are developmentally appropriate and are based on current research about brain and cognitive development. Classes include dancing, drumming, instrument play, creative and purposeful movement, imaginative play, focused listening, and more.
