I am a professional music teacher from Moscow, with Master’s degrees in Piano and Voice. While in Russia, I taught future teachers at the Teachers’ College. When I moved to the US 20 years ago, I founded and developed my own School of Music and Art in Granada Hills. It was the first of its kind music school in the area. My school attracted many people - young and old - because of our interesting classes and creative diversity. I take pride in my unique teaching approach – I help my students love, enjoy, and appreciate music by reaching out to their hearts. I make sure that my students are happy and having a lot of fun while learning music, which I believe is the key to persistence and continued desire to learn. When I teach children, I make a great effort to help them improve their abilities in understanding, creating, and communicating – skills that are critical for success in their current and future academic studies at other schools and universities. When I teach adults, I create an accepting environment that nurtures their hidden talents and reinforces their appreciation for music.In founding Encino School of Music and Art, I hope to reach my goal: to advance society through creativity and true appreciation of music and art.
