While we've only been incorporated for a few years, our work goes back over twenty years. Whenever we'd travel to a developing or disadvantaged area we would take something likely to be needed. Whether it was a spare suitcase of jeans for a migrant labor camp in Oregon or children's clothing to Baja Mexico, we'd be sure that our "vacation" involved some small bit of kindness to leave behind. Recently, the efforts have ramped up. We submitted requests for proposals to many of our overseas contacts as well as children's groups and schools in the US. In response, we've received many applications for scholarships, business start-up funds, school supplies and equipment, etc. Many were funded. We are now working on "Walk the Walk" and "A Bed for EveryBody" campaigns in Kenya.
