Beacon Academy is a public charter school designed for students in 7th through 12th grades. Beacon is a Big Picture Learning school, following the 10 distinguishers and 5 learning goals of BP. Students are encouraged to learn by following their interests and passions, with work aligned with the Indiana academic standards. Middle school students do service learning projects, while high school students work toward internships two days a week that are in their area of interest. Beacon students do presentations of their work, called Exhibitions, at the end of each semester. Students earn accredited diplomas and are expected to develop post-secondary plans for themselves
