Of course the obvious benefits were self-defense, physical fitness, and self-confidence. However, there is so much more to martial arts. The martial arts develop the whole person. I have been amazed to see the difference it has made in the lives of both children and adults. I have had the pleasure to see children, who could barely tell their right from their left when they started training, develop into elite athletes and complete on a global level.
