Aframe was created in 2009 because we saw the moving image industry struggling under the sheer volume of what it creates. As ever-increasing volumes of footage are generated, every company has been forced to become what it doesn't necessarily want to be - an IT company. Perhaps more to the point they simply couldn't afford to either. At the same time, when we went to shows, conferences - anywhere where creative companies gather - we time and again heard cries for help, both to deal with the volume of material and how best to take advantage of the promises of the new online viewing world. So we decided to do something about it. And that something is Aframe. Aframe's ambition is to free everyone up, from freelancers to multinational companies, to get on with what they do best - creating.
